James studied law with French at the Universities of Leicester and Strasbourg and qualified with Clifford Chance in London. He has practised in Monaco since 1989 and is a founding partner of the firm.
James’s practice revolves around private international law issues, in particular as regards wills, trusts and estate planning and also the administration of cross border estates in conjunction with local notaries. He also specialises in real estate transactions in Monaco and France, in particular advising non-residents on the tax and legal issues relating to the acquisition of French property.
James is a past Chairman of the Monaco branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is the current Deputy Chairman. He is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
